On Sunday March 31, Muay Thai For Life will come to Stockholm for the first time ever!
The promotion has put together a stacked card to celebrate the special occasion with some of the absolute elite fighters of Swedish and European Muay Thai. With a new broadcast partner in MTA+, the promotion keeps breaking new ground for Swedish Muay Thai.
That being said, now let’s take a look at five things that make MTFL 7.0 such a special card!
Freddy ”Kreuger” returns to Sweden

After fighting and training in Thailand for quite some time, the outspoken and entertaining fan favorite Freddy Castro Gonzalez finally returns to Sweden. Even better, he returns for a rematch against the tough Nasim Kazem who he defeated in a great fight back in 2022.
The Swedish Muay Thai fans should be happy that the brash ”Kreuger” is back with a bang and brings some danger to the show. At least I am!
The Trevorrow vs. Ekhorn matchup

The champ vs. champ fight between Mia Trevorrow and Vilda Ekhorn is one of the highlights of the card in my book. There’s always something special to watch two up-and-comers with great ambitions duke it out in the ring, and both fighters vowed that we will see fireworks in Stockholm.
IMAF world champion Ekhorn might have the upperhand fighting on her home turf, but Trevorrow seems confident enough ahead of the bout.
Check out Frontkick’s exclusive interviews with the two flyweights here:
Just days after winning her second Swedish Championship, Frida Lindberg accepted to step in on short notice to take on the dangerous and hyped Emilia Koivisto.
Will Lindberg use the momentum from last weekend to secure her second big win in just eight days, or will Koivisto be a number too big? Let’s see on Sunday!
Dawody vs. Larsson will be a banger

The clash between violent IFMA world champion Dalian Dawody and decorated fighter Jonathan Larsson is pretty much as good as it gets in Scandinavian Muay Thai. Both fighters have international success on their resumes and are known to give it all in the ring.
That kind of mentality makes me look forward to the co-main event!
First time in Stockholm

Muay Thai is big in the Swedish capital. That’s something that STHLM Fight Night proved twice with their successful events at Münchenbryggeriet.
After putting on shows in Gothenburg and Malmö since its start in 2021, it will be interesting to see how MTFL will do when they break new ground in Stockholm.
With fighters like Nasim Kazem, Nicholas Bryant and Dalian Dawoody, the card is for sure good enough to blow the roof of Strawberry Fields. Hopefully the crowd will head the call and show up for a Sunday night of fighting.
