All you need to know about Otto Wallin’s title fight on Saturday

Swedish heavyweight Otto Wallin returns to action on Saturday September 30 to take on the dangerous Murat Gassiev in a WBA Inter-Continental heavyweight bout. The 12-round fight will take place at the Regnum Carya Hotel in Antalya, Turkey.

The winner of this title bout could find themselves fighting for a world title opportunity.

Wallin who is originally from Sundsvall, Sweden and now lives in New York City, defeated Helaman Olguin by unanimous decision back in January. The Swede has won his last five bouts since losing to superstar Tyson Fury back in 2019.

Wallin held the WBA Continental heavyweight title in 2017.

Gassiev has four straight KO’s

Gassiev has stood as the winner in his last four fights, all by knockout, since losing to Oleksandr Usyk in the undisputed cruiserweight championship the undisputed cruiserweight championship back in July 2018.
