UFC veteran Makwan “Mr. Finland” Amirkhani just returned to take on Sweden’s Fernando “El Toro” Flores in the main event at Ice Cage Fighting 3.
The crowd at the Energia Areena Vantaa was on their feet for the exciting matchup that surely delivered everything the fans were expecting.
The hometown hero started strong with submission attempts but Flores defended well.
After getting dropped in the beginning of the second round, the Swede came back strong and landed several hard punches that rocked Amirkhani. The Finnish veteran was in big trouble but managed to survive.
Flores look good in the third round with effective takedowns and solid ground control. However, Amirkhani demonstrated his veteran savvy as he secured a tight anaconda that forced the Swede to tap.
