Swedish MMA fighter and grappler Josefine Modig is definitely on a roll.
After winning her professional MMA debut in dominant fashion at Fight Club Rush 17 on September 9, the Swede flew down to Poland to participate in grappling tournament ADCC.
Modig’s quick turnaround was a good move, as she was able to win the ADCC gold medal at 55 kilo, defeating fighters like IMMAF World Champion Magdalena Czaban. With the win, the Swede advances to the ADCC World Championships at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
”I honestly don’t know what to say. I ran out of adrenaline and dopamine long ago”, Modig wrote in a recent Instagram post. ”One week ago I did my MMA pro debut so I came to ADCC with no expectations or pressure. I just wanted to coach and watch my team mates perform and have a good time. But as soon as I step on the mat you know I want so I managed to get 2 submissions and one decision win.”

Josefine fought a fellow Swede in the finals
In the ADCC finals, the seasoned grappler faced fellow Swede Anna Berg.
”Thank you so much to my fellow -55 girls in the bracket, many of who I know and care about dearly. You all built a stacked bracket and are all so inspiring. It was also an honor to go an all swedish final against (Anna Berg),” Modig wrote on Instagram.
