Allstars Fight Night amateur bantamweight champion Liam Pitts just took on Nordic MMA champion Tufan Ahmadi in his first title defense. The fight took place at AFN 5 in Stockholm.
The fight was mostly contested on the feet, with Pitts utilizing his range and a nice combination of strikes to keep his opponent at bay. When Pitts wanted to, which was often towards the second half of each round, he initiated takedowns and managed to ground Ahmadi every time.
Ahmadi offered up solid resistance but was bested by Pitts at almost every turn.
After three rounds of war Pitts wins the fight via unanimous decision, and he’s still the champion in A-class bantamweight!
