As Nina Back was forced to pull out of her pro debut at Superior Challenge 25, UK fighter Indy Briar briefly stood without an opponent for Saturday’s Superior Challenge 25.
However, Swedish fighter Lisa Lingvall, who lost her professional debut last Saturday, saved the day as she stepped in to take on Briar on short notice. The fight will be in catchweight (51 kilo).
Robin Roos was forced to pull out due to injury
It was also recently announced that fan favorite Robin Roos was forced to pull out of his fight against Tamirlan Dadaev due to an injury.
The promotion found a short notice replacement in 33-year-old Jorge ”Jorginho” Bueno.
Superior Challenge 25 takes place at Annexet in Stockholm, and will be broadcasted by Viaplay as well as TV6.
“To broadcast Superior Challenge TV6 is huge for Swedish MMA and in line with our mission to create a bigger reach for the sport we love, and for our athletes,” Babak Ashti, founder of Superior Challenge, said in a recent press release. ”The entire Swedish population will finally be able to enjoy MMA entertainment and cheer on our Swedish athletes.”
