Many fans and experts have Losene Keita as the favorite to win the OKTAGON 1 million lightweight tournament. Two fights in, the ”Black Panther” lived up to all expectations as he pulled off one win via unanimous decision and one win via TKO.
”I feel like a beast,” Keita tells Frontkick about the tournament. ”Like, going up a weight class and performing like this against big guys. I feel like a monster actually.”
In his last fight, the ”Black Panther” once again showed that he’s one of the absolute best fighters in Europe as he stopped Predrag Bogdanović with a devastating left punch to the liver.
”The fight with Bogdanović went as planned. I knew he was going to be tired. I’m very happy I made that fight like how I wanted. There are some (things) I need to work on, but yeah, I have enough time.”
Losene Keita faces Mateusz Legierski next
In the upcoming semi finals, on September 21, Losene Keita will take on the dangerous Mateusz ”Dynamite” Legierski.
In his first fight in the tournament, the Polish lightweight stopped Matous Kohout with a first-round submission. In his second outing, on June 8, he defeated Akonne Wanliss after three rounds of action.
”Black Panther” sees Legierski as a legit threat, however, the 26-year-old Belgian is comfortable both on the feet and on the canvas going into the fight.
”Legierski is a powerhouse and an experienced fighter,” Keita says. ”I have my legacy, so I must beat the guy.”
