Rising flyweight star Molly McCann will face Erin Blanchfield at UFC 281. The promotion recently announced the fight via social media.

Molly McCann signed new deal with the UFC

The No. 15 ranked Liverpool fighter Molly McCann has become one of the most interesting fighters of 2022 and has won three straight bouts. At UFC London in March, ”Meatball” knocked out Luana Carolina with one of the most violent spinning back elbows we’ve seen in years. In her last fight on July 23, she landed another spinning elbow to win a first-round TKO victory over Hannah Goldy.

Molly McCann recently announced that she has signed an eight-fight contract with the world’s leading MMA promotion.

No. 13 ranked Blanchfield rides a five-fight win streak, and is undefeated with 3-0 start in the UFC. So far she’s beaten Sarah Alpar, Miranda Maverick and JJ Aldrich.

UFC 281 takes place at Madison Square Garden

UFC 281 will take place November 12 at Madison Square Garden in New York and will be headlined by the anticipated middleweight title bout between champion Israel ”The Last Stylebender” Adesanya and Alex Pereira.

The two rivals previously met twice in kickboxing. The first fight took place in April 2016 and in the end Pereira stood as the winner by unanimous decision. In their second fight Pereira defeated Adesanya by third round knockout.
