Nermin Hajdarpasic puts on a great performance at OKTAGON 41, fight ends as a draw

Swedish heavyweight Nermin Hajdarpasic just took on Robin Fosum in a catchweight bout (97 kilo) at OKTAGON 41 in Liberec, Czech Republic.

Fosum took the fight to the ground straight away and took Hajdarpasic’s neck. The Swede stayed calm, defended well and eventually got to his feet. By the end of the round, Hajdarpasic showed his boxing skills, landing jabs at will to set up his heavy right hand.

Nermin landed a heavy right counterpunch to start the second round. With his supreme boxing skills, the Swede landed jabs, uppercuts and bodyshots in a solid round.

Fosum came back strong in the third, with solid pressure. In the last minute he took the fight to the ground and landed heavy ground-and-pound to end the fight.

After the final bell, the judges’ scored the bout 29-28, 28-29 and 28-28, resulting in a draw.

Nermin Hajdarpasic is now 4-1-1

In the post-fight interview, the Swedis heavyweight gave his thoughts on the decision.

”I don’t care, I think I won the first two rounds, and he won the last. He was very strong,” Hajdarpasic said. ”It is what it is.”

After the fight at OKTAGON 41 Nermin Hajdarpasic is 4-1-1 as a professional MMA fighter, his sole loss came against Alexander Poppeck at OKTAGON 36 this past October.

In the main event of OKTAGON 41 we will see a bantamweight title bout where Danish champion Jonas “Shark” Mågård is set to defend his strap against former UFC fighter Gustavo Lopez.
