Pannie Kianzad finished in rematch with Macy Chiasson

Swedish top ranked bantamweight Pannie Kianzad just clashed with Macy Chiasson at the Apex in Las Vegas.

Chiasson entered the fight with intense strikes and pressure, getting the Swede to the canvas. The two scrambled back and forth from different positions both on the ground and the feet. While on the ground Chiasson would get a reversal, took the back and slowly worked towards getting a rear naked choke that forced the tap from Kianzad.

Pannie Kianzad is ranked at No. 6

The bout was a rematch from their first fight in the finals of The Ultimate Fighter season 28 in 2018. That bout was contested at featherweight and saw Chiasson get the win via rear naked choke.

Kianzad has alternated wins and defeats over the past few years and comes from a decision loss against Ketlen Vieira in July 2023.

No. 10 ranked Chiasson came off of a TKO loss to Irene Aldana in September 2022.
