Rising Swedish MMA star Robin ”Pretty Boy” Roos is set to fight for gold in Scandinavia’s biggest promotion, Superior Challenge, on May 6.

Roos announced the news in the latest episode of our podcast ”Käftsmällspodden”, which just got released on all podcast platforms.

The Västerås-based fighter, who represents UFC vet Nico Musoke’s gym KRAFT Kampsport in Stockholm, will headline the upcoming Superior Challenge 26 event in a middleweight title bout against British fighter Kevin Fryer.

Fryer’s got an 8-3 professional  record and is coming off two straight victories in Bellator MMA, most recently handing George Tokkos his first loss by way off unanimous decision.

As for Roos, the Swede has a 5-3 pro record and is currently riding a three-fight win streak. ”Pretty Boy” also has a lot of amateur MMA experience, having represented Sweden in various IMMAF championships as well as scoring gold in the national championship.

Robin Roos moves up in weight after coach vacated the Superior Challenge middleweight title

Roos was initially supposed to challenge Håkon Foss for the Superior welterweight strap last June. However, Roos missed championship weight by a tiny margin and subsequently went on to finish Foss in what turned into a none-title bout. Now, he’s since decided to move up a weight class and is now hoping to win the vacant middleweight title that was once helt by his now-retired coach Musoke.

Superior Challenge 26 goes down in Annexet in Stockholm and will be broadcast by TV6 in Sweden, Viaplay in Scandinavia and select European markets as well as FITE.tv for the rest of the world.
