One year after his most recent fight in Bellator welterweight Sabah Homasi is still waiting on the company to pay him back for medical bills after injuries he got fighting Levan Chokheli. He suffered a fractured orbital during the bout.
According to reports from MMA Fighting, Homasi is still stuck waiting for payment for his medical bills. The reports claimed he’s waiting to get reimbursed for $12,000 still owed, plus interest out of the $32,000 bill he absorbed in expenses.
Sabah Homasi: ”Is it just me?”
The 35-year-old welterweight recently took to social media to address the problem.
“Any fighters that got caught up in the PFL/Bellator merger that have not been reimbursed for surgeries and hospitalization from a fight or is it just me?” (You want to) compete with the UFC but aren’t taking care of their fighters,” Homasi wrote on social media.
Homasi has been a professional MMA fighter for 15 years and sports a 17-12 record. He competed in promotions like UFC, Bellator and Titan FC.
