Two-time Cage Warriors champion Sam Creasey (19-6) has found a new home in OKTAGON MMA.

Last April, he won the OKTAGON flyweight title in his promotional debut against Aaron Aby. Now, he’s back to defend his belt, eager to deliver thrilling performances in 2025.

”2024 was a strange year for me; one fight, one win, a new world title and a new promotion,” Creasey tells Frontick in an exclusive interview. ”I can’t complain much though I’d have liked to be more active through the year. I’m hoping in 2025 I’ll have at least three fights.”

On February 22 he will defend his strap for the first time as he faces the tough Beno Adamia. The Georgian challenger enters the title bout on a two-fight winning streak in OKTAGON, posing a serious threat for the reigning British champ.

”He’s dangerous, his boxing looks crisp and he’s going to be strong having spent most of his career at 135lbs. I would expect his wrestling to be good considering he’s from Georgia. I expect it to be a close fight but I’m confident in my ability to thrive against any style of fighter.”

Sam Creasey: ”The biggest difference is everything is new”

The OKTAGON flyweight division boasts a roster of great talent. In addition to Cage Warriors veteran Aaron Aby, whom Creasey defeated to claim the title, the division also features fighters like UFC veteran Zhalgas Zhumagulov.

”I don’t look too far beyond who’s in front of me and that’s Beno. Whoever wins I’d expect fights against Zhalgas Zhumagulov who beat Aaron Aby. Stipe Brcic is also looking to compete again soon.”

As a champion in two of the biggest promotions on the continent, the British 36-year-old has loads of experience competing at the highest level of European MMA.

What are the key differences between fighting in Cage Warriors and OKTAGON?

”For me right now the biggest difference is everything is that new. I loved fighting on Cage Warriors and they created a great platform for me to compete but with OKTAGON I have a new audience to entertain and I hope to do so in February.”
