On the main card of Friday’s Cage Warriors 141 event in London, two Swedish featherweight standouts clashed in a grudge match that had the fans of Sweden on the edge of their seats as Tobias Harila squared off against Samuel Bark.

Harila was initially scheduled to face former title contender James Hendin. However, Bark stepped in and made his Cage Warriors debut on short notice as the Englishman pulled out of the bout due to injury.

Bark was quite a big underdog according to the bookmakers, but seized the moment and showcased superior striking skills to secure his biggest MMA victory to date by way of knockout.

As round one started, Bark pressed forward from the get-go and tried to grab Harila in Muay Thai clinch. Harila used that momentum to score a takedown and quickly took Bark’s back. He locked up a body triangle, but Bark managed to get back up to his feet less than a minute into the round.

From there, Bark out-landed Harila on the feet using body kicks, punches, knees and elbows and clearly took the first round on the judges scorecards. That momentum continued onto the second round as well and as Harila seemed to have a hard time pulling the trigger got a bit desperate, Bark managed to land two big knees to the face to secure the finish.

With the win, Samuel Bark moves to 5-1 as a pro. While he’s still quite new to the MMA game, ”Sammon Decker” had a long professional career in Muay Thai where he won multiple international titles before stepping into the cage. Bark had been calling for the Harila fight for months in multiple interviews with Frontkick. Now, he just made a big leap in his career and the future sure looks bright for the Halmstad native.

Tobias Harila, on the other hand, falls to 10-3. ”Bad Intention” is now 2-2 in Cage Warriors.
