A new wave of Scandinavian MMA prospects is rising. Here are some of the region’s top fighters who could soon make waves in Europe’s leading MMA promotions.

Arlind Berisha

• Record: 5-0

Arlind Berisha is a physically intimidating light heavyweight that packs tons of power.

The dangerous 205er has stopped all his five opponents in the first round. At FCR 27 this past Saturday, he submitted Wesley Silva in just 30 seconds.

Berisha might very well be the next big thing coming out of Norway, will we see him in Europe before he takes the step to Dana White’s Contender Series or straight to the UFC?

Nikolija Milosevic

• Record: 7-1

On Saturday February 14, Sweden’s Nikolija Milosevic will take on undefeated Dina ”Black Cat” Osman (4-0) at Brave CF 104.

With seven straight wins, Milosevic is currently one of the hottest prospects in Scandinavia, even though she fought most of her fights in Australia.

A fight we really want to see is a rematch against her rival Cecilie Bolander. The two bantamweights clashed in their first pro fight at Superior Challenge in Sweden, with Bolander coming out on top. A title eliminator bout in OKTAGON MMA’s bantamweight division between these two would be nothing short of a complete banger.

Jon Vetle Furuheim

• Record: 9-2

Jon Vetle Furuheim comes from a tough loss, but the 23-year-old Norwegian is still one of the hottest prospects in Scandinavia.

Eight of his nine wins has come before the final bell, and he always deliver a show. The young fighter would pose a serious threat to any featherweight division in Europe.

Martin Corney is firmly establishing himself as a top fighter among the Swedish featherweights. Especially after his last fight where he defeated Allstar Training Center’s Djaba Murtazaliev with an impressive first-round TKO.

As a teammate of former ONE Championship title holder Zebaztian Kadestam, he’s got a solid base at Pancrase Gym in Stockholm.

Corney recently told Frontkick that he is contemplating a move to a bigger European organization after his next fight.

Zelim Zubairaev

Zelim Zubairaev is one of the top prospects in Scandinavia at the moment! With an undefeated 6-0 record, five wins via stoppage, he’s proven to be as tough as they come.

However, Zubairaev has not fought since november 2024, when he submitted Robert Oganesyan at MCP 14. A comeback in 2026, in a big European promotion, would get the Scandinavian MMA fans going!
