Stamp Fairtex won’t get to defend her atomweight title on June 7 against Denice Zamboanga. She’s also forced out of a champion vs. champion bout against ONE strawweight champion Xiong Jingnan on September 6.

We wish Stamp the best in her recovery and will provide an update on her status for the rest of the year in the near future,” ONE Championship wrote on Instagram.

The promotion’s CEO, Chatri Sityodtong, commented on the news on Monday.
“I’ve talked to the Fairtex team, looks like it’s going to be six months but I really don’t know,” Sityodtong said. “I haven’t talked to the doctor. Let’s see what happens. It’s kind of sad but at the same time Atlanta is six months away so who knows. Stamp is a super athlete. You never know,” Sityodtong told MMA Fighting.
