On December 10, ”Real Steel” finished Paulo Bananada at Superior Challenge 25 to become the promotion’s welterweight champion. With the win he avenged a tough second-round submission loss against Bananada in June 2022.
“This is the best experience so far, it’s an important milestone for me, where I am in my career at the moment,” Ståhl told Frontkick in an exclusive interview. “It felt like I was fighting on my home turf. I really delivered and got everything together, and the belt was just a big bonus. It felt like I was peaking right there and then.”
Battle of Botnia takes place on May 27 at Luleå Energi Arena.
Swedish National Team’s Emma Schiöler, who competed in the 2022 IMMAF World Championships, is also booked for the event.
