The Swedish MMA scene is booming with great amateurs and up-and-coming pro fighters.

Many of our most talented and hyped amateurs has represented Sweden in international tournaments as well as Scandinavian promotions and are more ready to take the step to professional fighting in the next months.

This list is mostly a way to lift up our great Swedish amateur MMA fighters, but with that said, these prospects should turn pro as soon as possible!

Anton Ringvall

Just as talented as he is active, Anton Ringvall is one of the most interesting amateurs on the Swedish scene right now.

After participating in the AFN featherweight tournament, where he’s been called MVP (most valuable player) by Frontkick’s Ashah Tafari, it’s definitely time for Ringvall to make the step to pro fighting.

Backed up by Viracci Sport Management and a strong team, his transition to pro should be nothing but a smooth ride.

William Swärd

The Wolf Fight Promotion amateur lightweight champion William Swärd recently told Frontkick that he’s ready to turn pro in the later half of 2024, but wants a couple of more amateur bouts first.

The Växjö fighter has built a solid foundation with a WFP title and a 5-0 amateur record.

It’s time to take the step to pro fighting, Laser!

Hanna Palmquist

Gothenburg’s Hanna Palmqvist is one of the most accomplished fighters in the Swedish National Team right now. After winning two IMMAF bronze medals she finally laid her hands on the gold medal in 2023.

Palmquist recently told Maximum Sports that her coach Joakim Engberg gave her the green light to pursue pro fighting, and as she had problems finding opponents in the amateur divisions – let’s go Hanna!

Millie Eriksson

Swedish National Team fighter and 2021 MMA World Cup champion Millie Eriksson has an extensive amateur record with multiple IMMAF tournaments and fights in promotions like CAGE and Excellence Fighting Championship to her name.

Eriksson has hinted at a move to pro MMA and it feels like now is the time for the 23-year-old Västerås FC fighter to make her debut. Why not at the upcoming FCR 20 in Västerås?

Viktor Mangs

Just like many athletes on this list, National Team lightweight Viktor Mangs is an active fighter backed up by Viracci Sport Management (VSM). In a recent interview with Frontkick, Mangs revealed that he intends to keep fighting as an amateur before going pro in 2025.

However, the Frontkick staff think Mangs got what it takes to compete as a pro already. Let’s strike when the iron is hot Viktor!

Rafael Kveldstad

Rafael Kveldstad is just as good of an amateur as it gets.

Winning both gold at the IMMAF World Championships and the Cage Warriors Academy amateur middleweight title – 2023 was a great year for the young fighter.

Training at the Allstars Training Center, Kveldstad trained and prepared for hours and hours with UFC fighters like Khamzat Chimaev and Alexander Gustafsson, as well as the hungry members of the Wolf Pack. Let’s go Rafael!

Fabian Misk

With five A-class amateur bouts and solid back-to-back wins, just weeks apart, Fabian Misk is a fighter that very well could go pro next.

The SFG welterweight trains with many top fighters, like Christian ”Lången” Stigenberg and three-time boxing champion Anton Hellström, and had a very active 12 months.

Maybe the time is right to go pro Fabbe?

Sebastian Palacio Gomez

One of Sweden’s hottest amateur fighters is by far Sebastian Palacio Gomez who fought in both the IMMAF World Championships and in various Swedish promotions.

His sole loss came in a competitive clash with current PFL Europe fighter Patrick Habirora in the latest IMMAF tournament.

Palacio Gomez recently claimed that he intends to go pro soon, and that’s just the right decision. Let’s go, Sebastian!

Liam Pitts

AFN bantamweight champion Liam Pitts is one of the hungriest amateur out there right now and booked for his next fight in the promotion on April 27. As a fighter, Pitts means business and is laser focused on becoming the best he possibly can to reach his goals to compete in the UFC.

The young prospect told Frontkick and the other reporters at the recent AFN 5 pre-fight press conference that he intends to make his pro debut in Allstars Fight Night.
