Allstars Fight Night returns on October 19 with their first event at Strawberry Hotel in Solna.
The promotion calls AFN 8 ”The Ultimate Fight Night”, and for sure, the card has a bunch of great matchups.
Frontkick’s Tobias Lindkvist takes a closer look at seven fights you just can’t miss on October 19!
Mark Vologdin vs. Luis Galarza

The powerful Finnish fighter Mark Vologdin (10-3-1) faces off against Bolivian fighter Luis Galarza (6-4-1) in a bantamweight title fight.
The reigning champion Vologdin is one of the most promising prospects in the region at the moment and might very well be the next Allstars fighter to sign with the UFC.
A win against the Bolivian BJJ specialist would further cement Vologdin’s position as one of the hottest Nordic prospects right now.
Djaba Murtazaliev vs. Artem Turchiniak

The entertaining Djaba Murtazaliev (1-1) from Allstars Training Center will make his AFN debut against Artem Turchiniak (0-2) from Latvia.
Murtazaliev, who is seen as a very promising fighter on the regional scene, has unfortunately been forced to the sidelines the past year. In fact, he only competed once in 2022 and once in 2023 as a pro fighter.
I sure hope we will see more of Murtazaliev in 2025 as he’s a fighter with tons of potential.
Arlind Berisha vs. Mehdi Abadli

When Najib Adams was forced to pull out of his fight against Mehdi Abadli, AFN 8 lost some of its attraction. The skilled and charismatic Adams is a widely popular fighter in Sweden and was set to make his pro debut.
However, when Norway’s Arlind Berisha (2-0) stepped in to take the fight against Halmstad’s Mehdi Abadli (0-1), I think the card got even more interesting.
Berisha is an absolute savage with enormous potential. The young and athletic light heavyweight could be a couple of finishes away from a spot in Dana White’s Contender Series.
If the tough Abadli can stop Berisha, it would surely be a feather in his cap.
Johanna Persson vs. Anne Line Hogstad

Decorated Muay Thai fighters Johanna Persson and Anne Line Hogstad will clash in a red-hot Scandinavian Muay Thai derby.
A four-time Swedish champion vs. three-time Norwegian champion – what more needs to be said? Whoever gets the win, it will most likely be a very entertaining bout with two of Scandinavia’s finest strikers.
Sakhi Qambari vs. Erick Ruano

The violent entertainer Sakhi ”Machete” Qambari (5-1) will be back to defend his AFN featherweight title. There’s never a dull moment when ”Machete” is in the cage. He’s riding a five-fight winning streak, with four wins coming via stoppage in the first round.
Guatemala’s Erick ”Pericko” Ruano (16-5) is a crafty veteran who intends to spoil the fun and stop Qambari title reign in its tracks.
This fight has the potential to be a real banger!
Liam Pitts vs. Brandon Najera

The fight with perhaps most eyes on it is the pro debut of previous AFN bantamweight champion Liam Pitts (0-0). He will take on surging Guatemalan fighter Brandon Najera (1-0).
Few, if any, amateur fighters from Sweden have ever had the expectations and weight on his shoulders as Pitts. However, both he and his team believe in his potential as a fighter.Allstars coach Mohammad Babadivand recently claimed that Pitts will be the new Alexander ”The Mauler” Gustafsson.
This fight is a must see for any Swedish MMA fan!
Samuel Bark vs. Ricardo Monteiro

Samuel ”Sammon Decker” Bark (10-2) is the biggest star on the card and – and that’s for a good reason!
UAE Warriors featherweight champion, undefeated in Cage Warriors and a decorated Muay Thai fighter, Bark is a bright shining star in European MMA.
He will take on Brazilian BJJ black belt Ricardo Monteiro (6-6) who fought at AFN 6. A classic striker vs. grappler matchup in other words.
