Manon Fiorot tabbed as title fight backup at UFC 306

Manon Fiorot looks to be the backup for the women’s flyweight fight at UFC 306.

Her coach, Aldric Cassata, told French media outlet Boxemag.com on Wednesday that Fiorot has been tabbed as the backup for the trilogy between Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko on September 14 at Sphere in Las Vegas.

“Manon is officially (planned as) the backup for the belt,” Cassata said. “She will be in Vegas.”

The UFC has yet to make an announcement about Fiorot serving as backup.

Prediction: 1 Million PPV Buys For Crawford Vs. Ortiz Jr.

Promoter Oscar De La Hoya recenlty claimed that the fight between Vergil Ortiz Jr. and Terence Crawford will do as much as 1 million PPV buys.

“I think the only fights that [do 1 million PPV buys] are Canelo-Terence Crawford, anything with Ryan Garcia, Vergil Ortiz-Terence Crawford. There’s several out there, but you just need that perfect dance partner,” De La Hoya said.

UFC 306 gets official poster for Sphere debut

UFC have released the official poster for UFC 306 at the Sphere.

The card is headlined by a bantamweight title fight between champion Sean O’Malley and No. 1 contender Merab Dvalishvili in the main event.
