The former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson was arrested early Sunday for DUI in Hollywood, California.
The MMA star crashed his truck into several parked vehicles, which resulted in the truck being flipped on its side. TMZ was first to report the news.
According to combat sports news site MMA Junkie, Ferguson reportedly refused to take a field sobriety test and is facing a misdemeanor DUI charge.
Los Angeles’ KTLA-TV news reported that one person was injured and taken to a hospital in unknown condition.

Lost five straight fights
Between 2015-2020, Tony ”El Cucuy”Ferguson won twelve straight fights in the UFC and earned nine post-fight bonuses. The wins came against opponents like former UFC lightweight champions Anthony ”Showtime” Pettis and Rafael dos Anjos.
In October 2017, he defeated Kevin Lee to win the UFC interim lightweight title. However, Ferguson was later stripped of the strap as he was not able to defend it due to injury.
Since 2020 he has lost five straight fights, all to top level opponents like Charles Oliveira, Michael Chandler and Beneil Dariush.
Fergusons latest fight was against Nate Diaz at UFC 279 in Las Vegas this past September. His latest win was TKO (doctor stoppage) against Donald ”Cowboy” Cerrone at UFC 238 in June 2019.
