10. Kamaru Usman

Former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman had one of the most impressive winning-streaks in the company’s history, with 14 straight wins.
He became the welterweight champion after defeating Tyron Woodley in March 2019, and held the belt until August 2020 when he lost it to Leon Edwards. During his years as champion he defended the title five times against Colby Covington, Jorge Masvidal and Gilbert Burns.
In less than two weeks, Usman returns to challenge Edwards for the title at UFC 286 in London.
9. Daniel Cormier

Daniel Cormier won the vacant light heavyweight title as he submitted Anthony Johnson back in May 2015. He then defended the title via a razor-thin split decision against Alexander Gustafsson, and stoppage wins against Anthony Johnson and Volkan Oezdemir.
In July 2018 Cormier became a two-division UFC champion as he defeated heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic.
8. Amanda Nunes

Bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes became the promotion’s featherweight champion after a sensational first-round KO when she challenged Cris Cyborg on December 29, 2018.
She then defended featherweight strap against Felicia Spencer in 2020 and Megan Anderson in 2021. Nunes is still the division’s champion, even though there are no real challengers around.
7. Jon Jones

Jon Jones became the youngest champ in UFC history by defeating Maurico “Shogun” Rua in 2011.
All in all, Jones has 14 title fight victories, and 11 title defenses, a resume that includes wins against light heavyweight royalty like Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Vitor Belfort, Lyoto Machida, Alexander ”The Mauler” Gustafsson and Daniel Cormier.
A few days back, Jones became the new UFC heavyweight champion of the world as he defeated Cyril Gane at UFC 285.
6. Valentina Shevchenko

Before losing her flyweight title to Alexa Grasso this past Saturday, dominant champion Valentina Shevshenko held the belt for 1548 days, defending it no less than seven times.
She won the vacant title back in December 2018 after beating Joanna Jedrzejczyk over five rounds, and defended it against fighters like Jessica Andrade, Katlyn Chookagian and Taila Santos.
5. Jose Aldo

Featherweight Jose ”King of Rio” Aldo transitioned from WEC to UFC and held the title for five years.
He successfully defended his strap seven times, including wins over Chad Mendes, Korean Zombie and Frankie Edgar, until he got stopped by Conor McGregor in 2015.
4. Amanda Nunes

The bantamweight queen Amanda Nunes won the strap back in July 2016 as she submitted Meisha Tate in the first round.
She then defended her title five times against massive names like Ronda Rousey, Valentina Shevchenko and Holly Holm, until she shockingly lost the belt to Julianna Pena in December 2021.
However, Nunes won back her belt from Pena in July 2022 and is yet to defend her title again.
3. Georges St-Pierre

On April 19 2008, Georges St-Pierre won the UFC welterweight championship for the second time as he TKO’d Matt Serra. He then defended the belt no less than nine times, until he vacated the title after defeating Johny Hendricks via split decision.
Four years later, GSP came back as a middleweight and defeated then-champ Michael Bisping via submission, just to vacate the middleweight strap after holding the belt just 34 days.
2. Demetrious Johnson

Demetrious Johnson won the inaugural UFC flyweight championship back in September 2012 as he defeated Joseph Benavidez via split decision. ”Mighty Mouse” then defended the strap eleven times, with seven wins coming by stoppage, before losing the title to Henry Cejudo via split decision in 2018.
Sadly, Johnson was then traded to ONE Championship for former ONE Welterweight Champion Ben Askren, and is now the Singaporean combat sports promotion’s flyweight champion.
1. Anderson Silva

MMA phenomen Anderson ”Spider” Silva has the longest title reign in the promotion’s history.
The Brazilian became middleweight champion when he defeated Rich Franklin at UFC 64 in 2006, and then defended the strap ten times, taking out MMA giants like Dan Henderson, Chael Sonnen, Forest Griffin, and Vitor Belfort in the process.
The spectacular six-year reign came to an end as Chris Weidman knocked out Silva in July 2013.
