Sweden’s leading podcast about fighting – Käftsmällspodden – is a cornerstone of the Swedish martial arts scene. Seasoned veterans and hungry up-and-comers from boxing, Muay Thai and MMA, as well as coaches and other combat sports profiles, has visited the studio over the past years.
In 2023, Stockholm-based podcast broke new ground with studios in both Gothenburg and Malmö, as well as live streaming events such as the Swedish Muay Thai Championships and local Stockholm boxing event Bajen Open House.

10. Vanessa Romanowski

Swedish Muay Thai fighter Vanessa Romanowski visited Käftsmällspodden in episode 272.
Romanowski is one of the most promising Muay Thai fighters coming out of Sweden in the past few years. At 18 years of age, she’s already something of a veteran in the Muay Thai game.

Episode 291 featured ONE Championship’s Zebaztian ”The Bandit” Kadestam who talked about going into the fight against the hyped Roberto ”Robocop” Soldic at ONE Fight Night 10 at the 1stBank Center, Denver, Colorado.
Kadestam, who has established himself as one of the most dangerous finishers in the promotion, won the massive fight via TKO in the second round.
8. Emil Näsman

Episode 340 featured the popular Swedish Muay Thai fighter Emil ”Fucking” Näsman. The young Stockholm striker has quickly become a fan favorite both in the ring and on social media.
In Käftsmällspodden, the 23-year-old introduced himself to fight fans all over the country.

Episode 174 featured MMA prospect and TV personality Liam Pitts who talked about his upcoming debut at Fight Club Rush 11 back in February 2022.
The young amateur faced Noah Persson and eventually stood as the winner via unanimous decision after three rounds of action.

Episode 354 featured Swedish featherweight Tobias ”Bad Intention” Harila who talked about his upcoming fight at Cage Warriors 160, where he was facing the tough James Hendin.
Harila also talked about being back in Cage Warriors after being forced to pull out of Dana White’s Contender Series due to visa issues.

In episode 384, the popular Emil Näsman once again entered the Käftsmällspodden studio, this time together with coach Emil Bjarnestad from Tullinge Muay Thai.
Näsman’s upcoming fight at STHLM Fight Night 2, against Elliot Jarälv, are one of many topics discussed in the episode.

Just outside the top 3, we find episode 373 which featured a UFC 294 preview.
UFC 294 was a stacked event in Abu Dhabi, with a lot of last-minute changes in both the main and co-main event.
Undefeated UFC star Khamzat Chimaev faced former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman in the co-main event, while lightweight champion Islam Makhachev faced Alexander Volkanovski.

In third place we find episode 298 which featured Swedish Muay Thai Sanny Dahlbeck who talked about his decision to retire from the sport.
Dahlbeck is one of Sweden’s most merited and decorated Muay Thai fighters and fought at a high level for more than a decade.

The second most popular Käftsmällspodden episode is No. 278 which featured a recap of the first STHLM Fight Night event in February 2023.
STHLM Fight Night took place at Münchenbryggeriet in Stockholm and featured a bunch of exciting matchups like Vilda Ekhorn vs. Vanessa Romanowski, Andreas Lilliecrona vs Emil Näsman and Uma Galli vs. Johanna Persson.
