Norrland’s biggest MMA star, Andreas ”Reel Steel” Ståhl will defend his Battle of Botnia welterweight title on September 7. The fight was announced earlier today by the promotion. At the moment there is no word on who he will fight in his second title defense, but the opponent is expected to be announced shortly.
”It feels amazing to compete in my hometown Skellefteå,” Ståhl tells Frontkick in a comment. ”The event will be held at the Sara Kulturhus and will be a bit different from other MMA events. It will be something special.”
Battle of Botnia promoter Mikael Lindgren also claimed that the event will be something extraordinary.
”It will be a spectacular show, more like a rock concert. This is something that has never been done before,” Lindgren told Megafonen.
