UFC 301 took place at the Farmasi Arena, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The card was headlined by a flyweight title fight between champ Alexandre Pantoja and challenger Steve Erceg, whose title shot raised quite a few eyebrows due to only having three fights in the UFC.
After five rounds of action, Pantoja ultimately got the win with two scorecards of 48-47 and one with a 49-46 total.
Jose Aldo returned to action
Former featherweight kingpin Jose Aldo returned to action to take on Jonathan Martinez in the co-headliner. Home town hero Aldo put on a great performance in the comeback and won a clear unanimous decision with 30-27 on the scorecards.
