Strickland won the middleweight strap in September as he defeated two-time champ Israel Adesanya with a masterful performance.

Reigning bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley will face his long-time rival Marlon ”Chito” Vera in a title fight rematch. So far no date or venue are announced, but the fight will likely be scheduled for March.
In their first fight back in August 2020, Vera won by first-round TKO after ”Sugar” hurted his ankle.
The fight will mark the first title defense of O’Malley after winning the strap from Aljamain Sterling this past August at UFC 292 in Boston. ”Chito” comes from a unanimous decision victory against the seasoned veteran Pedro Munhoz.
