A pivotal flyweight fight between No. 3 ranked Kai Kara-France and No.5 ranked Alex Perez was recently added to the UFC 284 fight card.
Kara-France comes from a Fight of the Night-awarded interim flyweight title bout loss to Brandon Moreno in July. Perez has back-to-back losses against champion Deiveson Figueiredo and Alexandre Pantoja.

Jimmy Crute will return from a long layoff after undergoing knee surgery to face Alonzo Menifield.
The 26-year-old light heavyweight suffered back-to-back stoppage losses to Anthony Smith and Jamahal Hill, and is now looking to get back in the win column again.
Menifield comes into the fight with two straight wins against Askar Mozharov and Misha Cirkunov.

The lightweight title fight between newly crowned champion Islam Makhachev and featherweight titleholder Alexander Volkanovski is officially set for UFC 284 in Perth, Australia.
The thrilling champion vs. champion bout will serve as the event’s headliner, and will be Makhachev’s first lightweight title defence since winning the belt in Abu Dhabi on October 22.
Josh Emmett vs. Yair Rodriguez

A featherweight interim title bout between Josh Emmett and Yair Rodriguez will serve as the co-main event of UFC 284.
“Look, I’m OK with it,” champion Alexander Volkanovski commented on the interim title bout at the UFC 284 press conference. “At the end of the day, I’m the champ. So that’s that.”
No. 2 ranked Rodriguez comes from a win over Brian Ortega in June, while No 5. ranked Emmett rides a five-fight winning streak that includes Calvin Kattar, Dan Ige and Shane Burgos.
