Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko has defended her title seven times and is one of the most dominant champs the promotion has ever seen.
Last competing in June, we can hopefully see ”Bullet” back in the octagon soon.

Top ranked flyweights Alexa Grasso and Manon Fiorot are two possible next opponents for ”Bullet”.
”I would consider two names: It’s Alexa Grasso and Fiorot,” Shevchenko recently told MMA Junkie. “These are two challengers that are extremely good and ready for this title test. I think any of them.”
No. 5 ranked Grasso is unbeaten as a flyweight and has four straight wins in the division, while No.1 ranked Fiorot is unbeaten in the UFC with five straight wins.

A trilogy bout with featherweight and bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes is another fight that the promotion would have interest in.
Nunes is the only one to defeat “Bullet” in the UFC, and currently holds two wins over her.
One win came by a debated split decision in 2017 which Shevchenko thought she won, and one unanimous decision in 2016.
“There is interest always, and I’m actually ready for that, because it’s a fight that makes sense. But yeah, let’s see how everything plays out, because I think any bright names, any superfights would be good,” Shevchenko said.

Newly crowned strawweight champion Zhang Weili has let it be known that she aims to go up a weight class to challenge for the flyweight gold.
“Definitely it’s one of the options that can happen,” Shevchenko said. “I saw her recent fights. She got stronger, more tactical, but if a fight is gonna happen, it’s not gonna help her.”
