Vanessa Romanowski set for a ’once in a lifetime’ fight – 250 meters below ground!

Swedish fighting standout Vanessa Romanowski is ready for her next challenge. On Saturday January 13 she will fight at the Strike King event in Poland which will take place 250 meters underground in a salt mine.
In an exclusive interview with Frontkick, the young Swede comments on her upcoming fight and competing in kickboxing.
”It’s not just a challenge in sports, but also a chance to feel emotions and adrenaline in the company of historic fighters. I will have the opportunity to come face to face with K1 and the kickboxing scene and see the modern perspective of the organization,” Romanowski says. ”This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me.”

The young Swede sees the spectacular environment of the event as a connection between traditional and innovative thinking from the promotion.
”I really look forward to being the only female fighter on the card and facing a talented Italian fighter. It puts focus on female fighting and creates an international dynamic that makes the event even more memorable,” Romanowski says. ”It’s an honor to be a part of such a unique event. I look forward to the fight and the chance to deliver an impressive performance.”

Vanessa Romanowski won the Polish Cup
In November, Romanowski won the Polish Cup in Muay Thai on short notice. For the upcoming fight in the Wieliczka salt mine, she had a extensive camp with four weeks at her club in Poland and about a month of training and fine tuning in Thailand.
”I am 110 percent ready for the fight. My preperations has been rigorous and focused, and I really look forward to deliver a memorable performance as a start of the year.”
