Swedish-Nigerian featherweight standout Wasi Adeshina is set to compete at the upcoming Cage Warriors 153 card in Dublin on April 29.
The promotion, known to be the No. 1 UFC feeder league in Europe, today announced that Adeshina will take on Irishman Decky Mcaleenan on the card.
”Wasi Adeshina will silence the Irish crowd”
Adeshina is coming off a decision victory against Ireland’s Glenn McVeigh and is now riding a four-fight win streak in Swedish promotion FCR MMA. ”The Nigerian Jaguar’s” current pro record is 5-2, including a somewhat controversial DQ loss against fellow Swede Mario Markus in a fight that he was winning prior to connecting with an illegal knee.
His opponent Mcaleenan has a professional record of 7-5-1 and is currently on a two-fight losing skid, most recently losing to Sweden’s Tobias Harila by way of first-round knockout.
”Wasi Adeshina will silence the Irish crowd,” Adeshina’s management team JDZ management wrote on Instagram following the fight announcement.
