Muay Thai For Life, the fastest growing Muay Thai promotion in Scandinavia, just announced a massive main event for its upcoming MTFL 4.0 event in Malmö, Sweden on December 10.
Decorated Danish-Moroccan star Youssef Assouik is set to clash with French fighter Djibril Ehouo in a WMC European super middleweight title bout. WMC is the world’s most prestigious Muay Thai sanctioning , affiliated with IFMA and the sport’s olympic committee, and this fight is on the highest of international levels.
Assouik last fought at Muay Thai For Life 3.0 in Gothenburg where he defeated former ONE Championship title contender Magnus “Crazy Viking” Andersson in dominant fashion in the headlining bout. Going into the upcoming title bout, he now has the Swedish crowd behind. The Danish-Moroccan fighter is currently ranked as the No. 1 contender according to the WMC world super middleweight rankings, and he already has an immense track record behind him with multiple Danish, Nordic, European and World championship titles to his name.
His opponent Ehouo is a two-time WBC European champion and four-time French Muay Thai champion, with around 70 fights to his own name. He’s currently ranked at No. 10 on the WMC world ranking and is a highly dangerous opponent to any Muay Thai fighter out there.

Patrick Thomsen, founder of Lingnoi Promotions and the Muay Thai For Life series, had the following to say in a statement provided to Frontkick.online:
”We were all really impressed by Youssef Assouik’s dominant performance last time around and I’m extremely happy to have him returning to Sweden and the Muay Thai For Life Series for his next bout just a couple of months later. Assouik is one of the absolute best fighters in the world and it’s about time we see him fight for the WMC title. Djibril Ehouo is a worthy challenger as well with an awesome resume of his own and he’s coming to win. I’m sure the fans in Malmö and everyone watching on DAZN will get to witness incredible action as these two world ranked fighters collide in the MTFL 4.0 headliner.”
With the addition of the massive title fight, Muay Thai For Life 4 already looks to be the greatest fight card ever since the series launched in 2021.
Already announced is MMA fighter and former Swedish Muay Thai champion Christopher Bajo who will take on rising prospect Mustafa Aboutaka in a catchweight bout.
Furthermore, the always exciting Filiz Demirbek and Livia Nygaard are scheduled to clash in a bantamweight contest. Demirbek is 2-0 and hopes to continue her win streak against the tough and experienced Nygaard, who recently won a silver medal at the 2022 Swedish Muay Thai Championship.

Earlier this week, another fan-pleasing matchup was announced that sees Robin Sundlöf collide with Amir El-Dakkak in a catchweight contest. Sundlöf has competed on every previous Muay Thai For Life record and opened with two wins in a row before losing a razor-thin split decision in the co-main event of MTFL 3.0.
Muay Thai For Life 4 is scheduled to go down in Baltiska Hallen in Malmö, Sweden and the event will also be streaming live worldwide on DAZN.
