Swedish former ONE welterweight Champion, Zebaztian Kadestam (15-7) stays in ONE Championship.
He announced via social media that he has re-signed a multi-fight deal with the promotion.
”Re-signed a multifight deal with ONE Championship. Coming for that title,” Kadestam wrote.
The Swede is currently riding a three-fight stoppage win streak in the promotion. In his last outing he stopped the hyped Roberto Soldic with a vicious second round KO.
After hurting Soldic with a right hand in the beginning of the second round, ”The Bandit” landed a barrage of punches and a big knee that eventually forced the referee to stop the fight.
Kadestam joined the promotion back in 2017 and so far fought 11 times. He won the welterweight title in 2018 after knocking out Tyler McGuire in the fifth round.

Wasn’t happy with the deal
Last year, Kadestam was vocal about being unhappy with his former deal with ONE Championship.
“I’ve been doing this for a long time, and I know how much money other fighters at the same level make in other organizations,” Kadestam told Käftsmällspodden in April 2023. ”My problem is that I got stuck with a contract that said that when I became champion in ONE, my first contract doubled.”
“I took my first fight in ONE on two weeks notice, and recived like a box of papers, and I was like ‘fuck it, let’s go, it’s a oppurtunity’, so I ended up with a hole in my contract. But it is what it is. I have two fights left on my contract, and then we will see what happens. Go somewhere else or they have to pay me what I’m worth.”
