Swedish flyweight prospect Amir Malekpour has quickly made a name for himself in Cage Warriors.

On March 30, at Cage Warriors 169, he will take on Tom “Boom” Creasey. The fight marks the Swede’s third outing in the British promotion.

In a new interview with Frontkick’s sister site Maximum Sports, Malekpour talked about the upcoming fight and even made a claim for the title if he gets it done in dominant fashion.

“Tom is the most dangerous opponent so far. He has trained and competed for many years even though he hasn’t competed so actively. He seems big and strong compared to other fighters in the flyweight division,” Malekpour said.

Amir Malekpour is undefeated in Cage Warriors with two stoppage wins. With a victory against Creasey, a fight against reigning champ Shajidul Haque could be on the horizon for the Swede.

“Superman” Haque is also undefeated in the promotion and last fought in July last year. He has no bout booked right now, which could work in the Swede’s favor.

“I’m not thinking about the title at the moment, but if I finish him (Creasey) I should not be far from a title fight. With three nice finishes,” Malekpour told Maximum Sports.
