Battle of Botnia 8 – Fight Card, Start Time & How to Watch

On Saturday December 9, local Swedish MMA promotion Battle of Botnia returns to Umeå with a stacked card to end the year.

In the main event, welterweight champion and home town hero Andreas Ståhl will take on short-notice replacement Kirill Medvedovski for the welterweight title. The champ won the title in May and looks to defend it for the first time in front of the Umeå crowd.

“There’s a hunger for combat sports in Umeå,” Ståhl recently told Frontkick. “It means so much to fight on my hometurf again.”

Fernando Flores returns to action

Another returning home town hero is the popular MMA veteran Fernando Flores, who will take on Aridane Romero Rodriguez in a featherweight bout. Flores comes from a win at Battle of Botnia 7 in May while his Spanish opponent is looking to get back in the win column after a loss in July.

The card also features fighters like Nina Back, Theodor Berggren and Anton Ringvall. Check out the full Battle of Botnia line up below!
