Swedish MMA fighter Amir Malekpour just took on Florian Doskja on the prelims of Cage Warriors 158 in Rome and the Swedes debut in the promotion was a resounding success!
Malekpour was tested early, though, as he was dropped by a looping right hand from Doskja. The Swede regained his composure and scored two take downs but his opponent continued pressing forward with intense pressure.
In the second round Doskja continued with intense pressure, while Malekpour landed shots going backwards. Both fighters connected with heavy strikes as a finish seemed imminent. Malekpour then scored another takedown, advanced to full mount and began pummeling his bleed opponent with vicious shots until the referee was forced to intervene.
Malekpour is now undefeated in his four latest fights, with three wins and one No Contest.
In the co-main event we will see Italy’s Dario Belladi face Naglis Kanisauskas from Lithuania.
