The reigning bantamweight world champion Nikolija Milosevic just fought Paulina Kontna from Poland in the European Championships finals.
The Swede put on a powerful performance right from the start. Using her fantastic footwork to create angles, she dominated her opponent on the feet with fast accurate punches and kicks.
In the second round, Kontna went for a takedown, but the Swede was able to take advantage of the position, landing heavy shots from her back until the referee had seen enough and stopped the fight.
Milosevic was declared winner by TKO, and is now European champion as well as world champion.
Nikolija Milosevic has been a dominant force throughout the tournament.
In the quarterfinals she faced Mercedes Custodio Lopez from Spain. Milosevic won the fight by a second-round TKO after taking her opponents back to land heavy shots.
The powerful Swede then faced Giulia Grossi from Italy in the semifinals.
In a high-paced and gruelling first round, both bantamweights found success. However, in round two, Milosevic took over and eventually got Grossi to the ground. After relentless ground-and-pound, the referee stopped the fight and the Swede was declared winner by TKO.
