Fight Club Rush 17 ijust took place at Fyrishov Arena in Uppsala!
The main event was originally featuring a flyweight title fight between Renato Vidovic and Jonny Touma. However, the bout was cancelled on short notice.
Since Renato Vidovic missed weight and was unable to fight, Jonny Touma was declared the Fight Club Rush flyweight champion and awarded the belt. The two rivals will now face each other in Touma’s first title defense at Fight Club Rush 18 on November 25.
“I did not want to win this title this way,” Touma said as he received the belt.
In the new main event, Sweden’s Christopher Bajo stopped Finland’s toughest fighter Toni Lampinen awith vicious elbows and knees, before calling out Andreas “Bane” Gustafsson.
Josefine Modig won pro debut
On the undercard, amateur sensation Josefine Modig made her pro debut with a quick submission win over Nina Back. The undercard also delivered a massive win by Erik Wahrolen who knocked out his opponent in the first round.
