Sweden’s Vilda “Little Tsunami” Ekhorn is a rising star in the Muay Thai world!
After Saturday’s win against Anne-Line Hogstad, who’s one of the best fighters in Scandinavia, Ekhorn cemented her status as one of the hottest prospects in the world. The Swede started the fight at a relentless pace and delivered barrages of hard punches and knees right from the start.
Talking to Käftsmällspodden after the massive win, the young Swede gave her thoughts of her pro debut.
“My plan was that I will go all in from the start, just like I did. In my previous fights I went all in but stopped and started thinking too much. The plan in this fight was to go all in from the start, just to wake up and realise where I am and get my game going,” Ekhorn said.
Sweden’s leading fight podcast, Käftsmällspodden, now supports the rising star with a scholarship to go to Thailand to train with Swedish Muay Thai superstar and ONE Championship title holder Smilla Sundell.
The scholarship is valid until the end of 2024, and Ekhorn can decide herself when to go.
At the 2023 Muay Thai World Championships in Thailand, a few months back, Vilda Ekhorn put together a string of huge performances to bring back the gold to Sweden.
