Swedish UFC fighter Anton “The Pleasure Man” Turkalj will be back in the octagon this summer.
In a recent interview with Swedish news site Aftonbladet, “The Pleasure Man” revealed he has a new fight coming up, although he did not mention an opponent or a specific date.
“I will fight in the UFC again, in the late summer. All my focus is on getting in as good shape as possible until then,” Turkalj said.
Anton Turkalj want to be the first Swede to win a UFC title
The Swedish light heavyweight is 0-2 in the promotion since his first fight in September 2022.
At UFC 279, he took on the dangerous Jailton Almeida in a tough short-notice fight he eventually lost via submission.
At a UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas a few weeks back Turkalj took on another dangerous and undefeated Brazilian in Vitor Petrino. After three hard rounds, where both fighters were close to finishing the fights several times, Petrino stood as the winner via unanimous decision. The battle was awarded with the 50 000 dollar Fight of the Night bonus.
The 26-year-old fighter from Gothenburg looks to bounce back this summer to eventually reach his dream.
“My goal is still to be the first Swede with a UFC title,” Anton Turkalj told Aftonbladet.
“When I retire, people will call me the Zlatan (Ibrahimovic) of MMA.”
