Cage Warriors light heavyweight champion Modestas Bukauskas returns to his former promotion as he’s set to compete at UFC 284 on February 11.
The 28-year-old champion steps in as a short notice replacement to face Tyson Pedro in a light heavyweight contest that takes place on the prelims.
After a stint in the UFC a few years back, Bukauskas signed with European promotion Cage Warriors and picked up a win over Lee Chadwick at Cage Warriors 145.
A few months later, this past New Year’s Eve, he won the vacant light heavyweight belt with a fourth-round KO against Chuck Campbell.
UFC 284 takes place February 11 at RAC Arena in Perth and is headlined by a lightweight title bout between champion Islam Makhachev and featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski.
In the co-main event, Yair Rodriguez and Josh Emmett will clash for the interim featherweight title.
