UFC signs undefeated Cage Warriors champion – looking to debut at London card

Middleweight champion Christian Leroy Duncan was scheduled to headline Saturday’s Cage Warriors 148 in London, but the title defense was canceled when his opponent was injured in a car crash.

However, just hours later. Duncan revealed that he signed a contract with the UFC and looks to make his promotional debut at UFC 286 in London.

“At this time, I think we’ve made the decision I’ll be handing this belt back to Cage Warriors,” Duncan said on the broadcast. “Then, next year, 2023, London, March, I’ll be looking to make my UFC debut in London,” Duncan said on the Cage Warriors 148 broadcast.

Christian Leroy Duncan is 7-0 as a professional fighter

Christian Leroy Duncan has a record of 7-0 as a professional MMA fighter and fought all his fights in Cage Warriors. Six of his wins are finishes, including one submission and five knockouts. Before turning pro at Cage Warriors 116 in 2020, the 27-year-old had an extensive amateur career with a record of 17-6.

UFC 286 takes place in London on March 18. So far, no headline fight has been announced.

We will see a middleweight bout between Marvin Vettori and Roman Dolidze as well as a women’s flyweight bout between Joanne Wood and Luana Carolina.

A flyweight fight between Malcolm Gordon and Jake Hadley is also announced for the card.
