Ciryl Gane takes on Serghei Spivac in main event at UFC Paris

French heavyweight Ciryl Gane returns to his home turf as he’s set to headline the second-ever UFC Paris card.

He faces the dangerous No. 2 ranked Serghei Spivac in a main event on September 2. UFC officials announced the news of the matchup on Thursday.

UFC Paris will take place at the Accor Arena on September 2.

Ciryl Gane headlined first Paris event

No. 1 ranked Cyril Gane headlined UFC Paris this past September, and faced Australian heavyweight Tai Tuivasa in a back-and-forth barnburner that ended with a third round knockout for the hometown hero.

Spivac has three straight stoppage wins, and been victorious in six of his past seven fights in the promotion.
