Conor McGregor has been on the sidelines since he broke his leg in the third grudge match against rival Dustin Poirier. After the long layoff where the Irishman has not been tested by USADA, he formally needs to re-enter the pool and be tested for six months to be cleared for competition.
However, now it seems like “The Notorious” is getting ready to make his UFC return and is taking the necessary steps to get back with USADA’s drug testing protocols.
“I am clear for testing in February. I will complete my two tests per USADA and we are booking a fight,” McGregor wrote.
That means that McGregor could compete earliest in August 2023. Why the Irish superstar wouldn’t be “clear for testing” until February is not known but sure raises a few questions.

When, and if, Conor McGregor returns to the octagon he has a lot of possible opponents to fight, both at lightweight and welterweight.
Fan favourite Michael Chandler has recently been building a case to fight with “The Notorious” in his return. Another possible comeback bout would be a massive money fight against Jorge Masvidal.
