At Saturday night’s UFC Austin card, Georgian-Swedish Guram Kutateladze returned to the octagon to face hyped lightweight Damir Ismagulov. The bout lived up to all expectations and ended up being a very technical and tough fight, where both combatants really gave it all.
Kutateladze landed relentless combinations and heavy kicks, while Ismagulov cut his opponent using his solid jab. All three rounds were close, but in the end, Ismagulov won the fight by way of split decision (28-29, 29-28, 30-27).
One who was excited about the bout was UFC president Dana White, who praised both fighter’s abilities at the post-fight press conference.
“Great fight, I mean, incredibly technical fight, you know, there was some high level shit going on right there, it was a great fight, “White told the press.

UFC Austin turned out to be a monster of a card with no less than eight KOs and TKO’s, and the president was more than happy with the successful event.
“It was a great night. The show was insane,” White said.
The organization have put on a alot of events in Texas during 2022, including UFC 271 in Houston on February 12, last night’s card in Austin, and UFC 277 that will take place in Dallas on July 30.
“How many more can we do in Texas? We have to change this thing to the Ultimate Texas Fighting Championship, “White joked at the post-fight press conference. “There are a couple of places in this country that made it really easy to put on events, and that are fan friendly and promoter friendly to come to. And Texas has been one of those states.”
