Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou is about to write a new chapter in his professional MMA career as he’s about to sign with another major promotion.

Talking to Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour, “The Predator” revealed that he made up his mind on what will be his next step.

“I have made a decision,” Ngannou said. “Without making a done deal, I know what my next move is going to be. I know that I want to fight boxing first and then after that I will fight MMA. I’m going to sign with one MMA promotion. I haven’t made a decision on that yet.”

“PFL and ONE FC right now, we are very close. We will see.”

Francis Ngannou: “I feel well-respected”

The promotions are two of the leading organizations in MMA, and signing a huge star like Francis Ngannou would be massive for either company.

As a free agent, the former heavyweight champion felt like he was given the respect he never got from the UFC. Suddenly he has a good feeling about the future.

“I’m going to do what I’m doing, and what is interesting about it, obviously there is huge money down here, but also, most of this deal has been viewed as a partnership, which is great for me. I feel well-respected, appreciated. It is different. It feels different” Ngannou said.
