Former UFC champion set for comeback after 42 months away!

The UFC’s inaugural women’s featherweight champion, Germaine de Randamie, is set to make her return to the octagon after 42 months away.

On April 6, she will take on No. 12 ranked bantamweight Norma Dumont at a UFC Fight Night event at the Apex in Las Vegas.

In her most recent outing, in October 2020, de Randamie defeated Julianna Pena via a third-round submission. In February 2017, she fought Holly Holm for the inaugural UFC featherweight championship and got her hand raised after five rounds of action.

Brazilian fighter Dumont has a 6-2 UFC record and currently rides a three-fight winning streak that includes names like Danyelle Wolf and Chelsea Chandler.

UFC Fight Night 242 with Germaine de Randamie

UFC Fight Night 242 is headlined by a middleweight matchup where former title challenger Marvin “The Italian Dream” Vettori takes on rising star Brendan Allen. Riding a six-fight winning streak, with five wins via submission, Allen is one of the hottest names in the middleweight division.
