Undefeated Swedish UFC fighter Josefie “Thunder” Knutsson will compete in local Swedish MMA promotion Allstars Fight Night. That’s according to AFN’s Mohammad Babadivand.
“Josefine will compete in a grappling match in the future. We also have other UFC fighters that will compete at our events,” Babivand said Friday at the AFN 5 pre-fight press conference. “In 2024 you will see a whole other level at AFN, just wait and see.”
Babadivand did not want to mention any names, but beside Knutsson, Allstars Training Center has UFC fighters like Volkan Oezdemir, Alexander Gustafsson and Bernardo Sopai.
Knutsson is undefeated as a MMA fighter with a record of 7-0, 1-0 in the UFC. She was scheduled to fight for a second time on March 2, however, she was forced to pull out due to a back injury.
AFN also revealed that they will arrange a MMA event outside of Sweden later this year.
“We will have an MMA card in Greece. It will be in Athens. Sun and swimming, it can’t be better. We have a good connection with the Greek MMA scene” Babivand said.
The upcoming AFN 5 fight card will feature three title fights and an amateur featherweight tournament with eight contenders fighting for pro contracts.
