A massive lightweight bout is finalized as Justin ”The Highlight” Gaethje will take on Rafael Fiziev at the stacked UFC 286. The matchup was first reported by ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, and later confirmed by UFC President Dana White at a press conference.

The event takes place in London, England, on March 18, and looks to be one of the best cards in a long time.

No. 3 ranked Gaethje last competed for the division’s title against then-champion Charles ”do Bronx” Oliveira in May 2022. He made his promotional debut back in 2017 and holds wins against top dogs like Edson Barboza, Tony Ferguson and Michael Chandler.

No. 6 ranked Fiziev rides an impressive six-fight winning streak that includes wins against Brad Riddell, Bobby Green, Renato Moicano and former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos. All in all, he’s 6-1 in the promotion.
