Last Saturday, Karol Rosa defeated Swedish bantamweight Lina Länsberg at UFC 280. After getting knocked down in the first round, she was able to get back and win the fight via majority decision (29-27, 29-27, 28-28).
At the UFC 280 post-fight press conference the Brazilian commented on the fight.
“I wasn’t expecting the fight to be that tough. Things got hard over there. When I got knocked down – it was my first knockdown in the UFC – I kind of had to be alert after that. At that point, I said, ‘I need to win this fight.’ Obviously, I’m happy I was able to get the win,” Rosa told the press.
After the tough fight in Abu Dhabi, the Brazilian wants to fight another Swede in No. 7 ranked Pannie Kianzad.
“It would be really good to fight in Brazil. It would be really good if I was able to make it. I have a name in mind: Pannie Kianzad, I think is someone I have in mind that would be a good fight. I had her name in mind before. Fighting her would be great, but also, I could bring in a good crowd.”
Pannie Kianzad last fought Lina Länsberg at the UFC Apex in April. She has five wins in her last six fights in the promotion,
