At UFC 278, Leon Edwards became the second British UFC champion ever when he defeated Kamaru Usman with a massive head kick-KO. The first-ever British champion, now commentator Michael Bisping, is sure that more fighters will follow.
On his YouTube channel, Bisping recently claimed that Darren Till is destined to win the UFC gold as well.
“Darren Till, you’re laughing at me because he’s 1-3 in his last four, Darren Till will be champion one day,” Bisping said. “His striking is phenomenal. His mind is strong. He’s just had a bit of a bad run. And again, 29 years old. He’ll be champ.”

Darren Till: ”I’m coming back what I used to be like”
Darren Till is currently injured but aims to get back in the octagon as soon as possible.
“We’re a few weeks in to getting back,” Till recently told ESPN. “Khamzat’s fully in camp now for this fight with Nate Diaz, so I’m like in camp helping him, but I’m in camp for myself to come back. The body’s never 100 percent, but I’m coming back what I used to be like – healthy and fit and ready to get a world title, get some wins in. Massive fight against one of the best strikers in the division, so this is all just about getting back now.”
The Liverpool fighter moved from welterweight to middleweight in 2019. He defeated former challenger Kelvin Gastelum in his middleweight debut at UFC 244, but then suffred two straight losses to former champion Robert Whittaker and the tough veteran Derek Brunson.
